Protection and hygiene

Hygiene and protection are key factors at hair salons and for mobile hairdressers. Treatments must be performed properly, hygienically and as comfortably as possible for the hairdresser and the client. Sterko BV has therefore developed a number of products specifically for this purpose. Considering the hygiene of each client, and working hygienically, contributes to the professionalism of the hairdresser. One example is a neck strip that ensures the capes used for each client are kept clean and fresh.

Protection for hairdresser and customer

Each treatment performed by a hairdresser requires a different type of protection. Sometimes chemicals are used during a permanent treatment or colouring that are difficult to remove from towels or the client’s clothing. We have developed various Plasty rolls for this purpose. The plasticised layer with two layers of tissue used for these rolls offers excellent protection. The material absorbs liquids and the 3/4 collar option feels comfortable for the client. The rolls are 50cm wide and perforated every 70cm, offering the perfect length for a hairdressing treatment.

Dental towels

In addition to the plasty roll collars, our catalogue also lists neck papers, also known as dental bibs. These papers also protect clients from any leaking liquids. These bibs are made of two layers of tissue and one layer of PE, for good absorption properties and protection against leakage. The bibs are available in five different colours for enhanced visual appeal in the salon.

Comfort, protection and hygiene

In addition to the above products, our range also offers various products that increase comfort, protection and hygiene in the salon. Neck strips are just one example. These strips create a barrier between the cape and the skin to ensure hygienic conditions for every client. In addition to the familiar neck strips with elastic and blue stripes, we have also developed extra soft neck strips, for added client comfort.


And we cater to the needs of hairdressing clients who wear glasses. These clients are often advised to remove their glasses during a hair colouring treatment to protect them from the dye. Our protectors for glasses are a plastic cover that slides easily over the arms of the glasses so the wearer can keep their glasses on during treatment. They can be manufactured for you featuring your own design or logo. (Private label)
